Owsblog options...

Sorry about the problems that seem to being caused by the new Blogger beta. For those that don't yet realise I switched at the weekend only to find out/ be informed afterwards that there was no 'communication' allowed between Blogger and Blogger beta, although this is temporary; read my warning to other Bloggers [HERE].

For those interested there is Owsblog2 that is the old 'normal' Blogger; I shall continue to post here but probably post the same on both blogs until Blogger/Google get it all sorted.

S.O.

Hey Span, I've got 2 complaints ! Firstly, why does my computer make strange chugging noises when your blog (very slowly ) appears ?
Secondly, when I go to the option which allows me to post without those annoying little " Yes" buttons, why can't I read all the messages people have left ?
I can only see one message and there should be 3 !
I don't think the standard of accessibility is very high here ! (runs and hides ?

curmy! When you said you had complaints I thought you meant to Blogger!!!

Chugging noises? Have you put in enough coal? ;-)

The time uploading is probably just temporary because it happens to me with six's blog and Augustus' and others on occasion...but not always, and it happens when I use other computers on various sites, i think that is just to do with the link-up etc.

I don't understand what you mean by the next bit. If you click 'yes' you see all as normal, if you click 'no' you don't see the insecure bits (i.e. some images)

Oh right, Span,I understand now, do I include you as an insecure bit ? !

BTW you're right, I hadn't put enough coal in the 'pooter, I think I'll change to anthracite.

'Ello, 'ell, 'ello! I may have sussed it!

Gavin Corder said...

Well actually I have sussed it (because I am a goddam genius). But I have to sign out of my blogger account and into my google account in order to post here. Which is all very well but if I didn't know that, I wouldn't be able post a comment, and would depart in disgust! The other obvious drawback is that if you click my name at the top of this comment it goes through to some spurious beta blogger profile page which doesn't reference my actual blog at all because I don't have a bloody buggered beta blog but a beautiful un-buggered blogspot! Which in case anyone is interested is here.

Not that I am a self-publicising blog trollop!

Tht'll learn you Spanny-boy! Read the destructions and 'known bugs' pages prior to installing new beta version of anything!

Gavin...welcome to the present...do I need to strip you and flog you in public? You seem to be in a pickle...nudge-nudge, wink-wink...visit his blog folks!

You are not a genius! I told you and Mags to log-in using your Google/gmail account log in 2 days ago! Mags managed it straight away (albeit it's a pain).

Furthermore in the comments of my post previous to this I explain how I can post on the 'normal and the beat...please keep up.

Blimey Span, all you've done is make life more complicated for us all.
Why must you boys fiddle about with things just for the sake of it !

Boys like fiddling with stuff. It's in their nature to fiddle and mess and generally make a nusiance of themselves.

You can say that again, Mags, my OH retires next year, I'm not looking forwards to half a car engine on my kitchen table, plus bits of boat and golf clubs all over the place.
He's a one man muck-spreader !
I've only just sorted the house out after he was on holiday.

Span, another thing whilst I'm at it. An observation. Your blog has far too much going on in the background. Even with broadband the page takes an eon to load. I hate to think how long those using a dial up connection have to wait.

Curmy, find oh a hobby that doesn't involve mess (such as family history although that does involve massive amounts of paperwork) or build him a big shed down the garden with an electricity supply and water. No mess in the house then and hopefully he will take the hint and move his bed down there too!

Mags, I agree with you about Span's blog taking ages to download.
OH already has one shed, full of rubbish.
Funny you should suggest a shed with all mod cons, Raisins mentioned that last time I had a moan !

Linda Mason said...

Curmy, a new shed then with all mod cons and a nice sofa bed. My Godfather neighbour built a ski lodge type chalet effort at the bottom of his garden last summer. It has all mod cons. His daughter, who unfortunately suffers from mental health problems, spends a lot of time down there smoking. Neigbour says it's the best investment he has made for years. It costs thousands but could house a family if necessary.

When I get back I'll take a few thigs off: I'm not particularly happy with the Panda people anyway so all the moving ads of there's will come off annd I suspect it's part of the problem because I had their security centre that IS good but then they got a newer lighter version that doesn't like my browser so that COULD be causing fun with the Blogger bits too...have to wait and see.

Thanks for the clear explanation.
