I doubt whether the Conservatives will win in East Glasgow Gildy!...maybe a respectable 3rd if they're lucky...although maybe even 4th :-/

There's the David Davis constituency too...25 people standing (none of whom are Labour!)

I'd love to know why anybody in Henley (the constituency not the town) would feel the need to vote BNP - were they bussed in from Reading?

We are living in interesting times but unfortunately from my point of view all the three main parties could probably affect my well being in the future and as I have hinted elsewhere for all we criticise the older career politician who seems to have been there for decades...

The new candidates that are being voted in seem to have a nastier and less caring side to their nature or that's how they come across.

This is a generalisation but they seem to come from a family backgrounds where they have not experienced being financially hard up or had any major problem. Or have not been around long enough to have experinced life.

Many seem to go straight into politics from University now. And the few that give the vulnerable a bad name are then used as examples which means the genuine get tarred with the same brush.

The next election I have absolutely no idea who I'll vote for.

And in many ways I am actually happier that I am getting older and not being born now and having to jump through all the hoops that are being proposed to control the population.

As for who may be elected in Scotland after the by election...that is anyone's guess but the first few days after Wendy resighned and it was announced another MP is to retire because of ill health(it has since been reported that there is some other reason possibly)so I await to see how that pans out.

Paul, I think they are the actual true 'Labour' supporters in a 'solid' 'posh' 'rich' Conservative town. Never vote Tory, not 'Wimpy' (nice burgers) green, upset by misandrist New labour policies...

Gildy...the new politician is the scourge of us all...suits they were born in, no idea of life, no idea about 'party' or ideology(it's all marketing)

PAH!

I think UKIP were the Westlife of politics Gavin, not the real thing but they were okay until Take That got their act back together.
