Chelsea have beaten Arsenal in an FA Cup tie for the first time since 20th January 1947, bollocks (by which I mean that I'm pissed off, not that the statistic is wrong). Maybe Wenger was saving players, after all Adebayor did five minutes work, AGAIN. Anyway, "Drogba kept his head when Arsenal keeper Lukasz Fabianski lost his six minutes from time" [The Independent]

Still after the Champions league QF last Wednesday against Villareal and today's Arsenal v Chelsea SF, let's look at what's coming...

--Tuesday, 21 April 2009, Barclays Premier League: Liverpool v Arsenal
--Wednesday, 29 April 2009, UEFA Champions League: Man Utd v Arsenal SF, L1
--Tuesday, 05 May 2009, UEFA Champions League: Arsenal v Man Utd SF, L2
--Sunday, 10 May 2009, Barclays Premier League:Arsenal v Chelsea
--Saturday, 16 May 2009, Barclays Premier League: Man Utd v Arsenal

And in between that lot we have Middlesbrough, Portsmouth and Stoke to play too.

I think Adebayor has replaced Eboue as the new Aunt Sally for Gooners, his work rate is so low it can't be measured on any standard equipment.

Poor old Arsene was left waving his arms around like one of those giant inflatables you see at European matches but with less co-ordination.

Still, given Villa's capacity for self-destruction you are in next years Champions League, if only by league qualification!

Nah, we'll catch Chelsea and pip Liverpool for second place...

I find it hard to believe they had no "sense of urgency"...it was one game to get to the final and the final is after the Champions League ends so it wouldn't have clashed. Why did he leave Adebugger on so long? Why did he put Arshavin on so late ...why why why...fuck!

IMHO, Arsenal should've replaced Adebayor last summer. I sympathised with him when I read that he was on only half the weekly wage of Joey Barton but I think he's one of these strikers (as is Djibril Cisse) who needs three or four chances before they score one goal. This is not what you want if you want to be a top four club with title winning hopes. It's bad enough Cisee doing this at Sunderland but at a top club like Arsenal, I don't think it's acceptable

blimey...was that a coincidence or were you "lying in wait"

Last year Arsenal created the most chances in the Premier League by a country mile but failed to score too often...the run of 0 - 0's this years was the same.

Trouble is it's endemic: Adebayor, Van Persie, Betner et al ALL need several goes before they score! (Ok, OK...I doth protest too much)
