Outing obscurantism obstriction...

Obstriction = obligation; the obligation to 'out' the overt prevention of enlightenment that is going on every day. "The 2011 Budget marks another step away from the economic recklessness of the Labour Government. They brought Britain to the brink of bankruptcy, doubling the national debt and leaving us with the biggest deficit in our peacetime history. Their legacy is £120 million a day being spent on debt interest alone." Conservative Home.
"Ed Balls and Ed Miliband were Gordon Brown’s chief economic advisers and the architects of this mess."

Tiny, baby steps - public borrowing up, tax revenues down, unemployment up.

LOL! But steps in the right direction. Imagine had they done nothing or carried on regardless or listened to Balls.

Did you, did anyone, expect the borrowing to go down, really? That'll be a few years yet. The last image on the PDF is the deficit reduction but even that is very optimistic.

Just posted a link in reply to you re borrowing figures not being "as high as previously anticipated" but still way too high but, as I said before, that to me was only to be expected.

Hi Charlie, if you look at the PDF there are several good graphics. Pity the MSM will ignore them and the Conservatives/Coalition won't push the issue. Can't understand what's going on at the moment.

Maybe the massive ruck expected on 26th will start to sort things out.

Overall borrowing will take a while to come down but it shouldn't be up in February that's why everybody was surprised by the figures.

Funnily enough I know the guy who designed this. He did a ted talk. the man is brilliant and has a fantastic book called Information is Beautiful.

At least I hope it's him. If it's not it's a right rip off.
