Oeillading opening...

The news of the world is that the sun always sets but then rises...everyday. Today The Sun on Sunday rises from behind clouds (although "questions continue to be asked about alleged criminality and corruption at other News International titles"). The first edition of The Sun on Sunday rose today: it will be "fearless, outspoken, mischievous and fun" but also with a pledge of trust and "decency". Let's hope so but let's also hope that all the hypocritical shits in the rest of the media stop pretending that Murdoch's press were the only ones with suspect methods of revealing news in 'the public interest'. Some - including one A. Campbell - are clearly underwhelmed with the "subdued" launch front-page, however, the News of The World was by far the biggest selling Sunday national newspaper...any bets the Sun on Sunday won't be before too long?

Interesting discussion on Sky about this last Monday - Rupe incidentally keeps tweeting about how he has nothing to do with Sky News. The parent company don't want anything to do with this or indeed newspapers in the UK but they realise that there is value in the brand and will supoort it even if its only for six months to appease those journalists who feel let down at the moment.

Not surprised NI don't want anything to do with the dead tree press, they know where it's heading!
