Odd obnubilation...

"Independent journalism requires honest and open internal debate free from external pressures. This ruling enables us to continue to do that”...the BBC's statement on how honest and open debate is being stifled by the BBC (re the Beeb's refusal to disclose findings of the 2004 Balen Report under the Freedom of Information Act being upheld). Odd, what could they possibly want to hide?

Remember the old 5Live board and whenever the subject of the Balen Report came up posts would disappear? The BBC finds itself in a funny spot on the whole of the middle east, there's the bias against Israel lobby and the bias against Palestine lobby.

I suspect (and of course have no proof whatsoever) that the report may or may not show a minor bias but that certain BBC people made certain comments about Joos and release of the report/minutes/whatever would mean they would have to be sacked due to ensuing outrage.
