Oversexed Obama...

OK, I admit it: it's a bit of a tabloidesque headline. Flukegate, Slutgate ...what will they call this? Whatever, The Fluke Distraction has been dragging on for nearly a week (the real issue for more than a couple of weeks) and it shows that modern news media on both sides of the Atlantic is in a race to the bottom. In the latest US 'scandal' the pure hypocritical bilge is being laid on thick and fast. The issue - now a meta-kerfuffle - is getting more and more murky; "[subverting] religious freedom behind a faux defense of women's rights"; the lefty media are desperate to hide the truth: yes, it's all a smoke and mirrors distraction. The main reason is this:
"the less you know about the ObamaCare mandate, the more likely you are to support it. Being informed of two salient facts - that it includes the morning-after pill and that it is imposed on religious institutions - is enough to sway just under 1 in 5 voters from support to opposition"
Mark Steyn as always hits several nails on the head, "When even casual sex requires a state welfare program, you're pretty much done for"; Americans do take contraception and religion very seriously but even in "the absence of religious virtue, sexual virtue and fiscal virtue, one might trust to the people's sense of sheer preposterousness to reject the official narrative of the Fluke charade. Yet even that is not to be permitted." Indeed not, in fact it is growing as the image illustrates the number of news sources covering the story.

But what is it all about? Fluke S., a far-left feminist activist takes part in a mock hearing and says - in all seriousness - that "Without insurance coverage, contraception, as you know, can cost a woman over $3,000 during law school", by coincidence Fluke is a [mature] student at the oldest Catholic and Jesuit institute of higher learning in the United States. So, what did a certain right-wing shock-jock say? Rush Limbaugh: "What does it say about . . . Fluke, who goes before a congressional committee and essentially says that she must be paid to have sex, what does that make her? It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex. She's having so much sex she can't afford the contraception." A local pharmacy has birth control pills for as low as $9 per month; work it out yourselves, or - as our western cousins say, do the math - she's on a three year course...

Is the American definition of slut different to the English version? I always thought a slut was one who gave it away, not one who charged for it that's a tart surely?

Hi Paul...not sure, I know fanny isn't the same! But Limbaugh called her a prostitute too so either he's really confused or they do mean something else.

Also, left-wing goody goody TV comedian and Obama donor Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a cunt on one occasion and a dumb twat on another; he also called her and Michele Bachmann “bimbos.”

Don't recall any mass hysteria,HERE's one version.

Wonder if Anon can tell me the lies I have posted.
