Oncoming ochlesis...

Not quite but in one respect the 'science' is settled; there need be no more discussion: "The immigration lobby are getting desperately short of arguments to set against the huge costs of mass immigration"... "Immigration caps don’t hamper the economic recovery. Why pretend otherwise?" [Link]

It's a good article but one which keeps coming back on itself. It's easy to pin the current situation on the Labour (1997-2010) government but you have to wonder whether a centre right party that believes in the freedom of movement throughout Europe would have done any different.

One thing that is for certain and that's we are facing a real skills shortage. The Spectator is quite mild in some of its comments regarding civil unrest compared to other sites. If there is any trouble to come it will begin under the radar.

I know, it's easy to blame New Labour (and I will keep doing it!) but not much would be different. Re troubles ahead, it has started already.
