"A closure of The Observer, the world's oldest Sunday newspaper, is actively being considered, the chief executive of the company behind the 218-year old title told staff in an internal email sent shortly after 12.30pm today."

The Observer seems to be frozen out by the success of the new bigger, 'improved' Saturday Guardian.
Most probably a key point Anon, I quite like the Guardian, get it on some flights these days along with that other airport stawart the FT. The news and crossword etc are just as good as the other braidsheets but obviously the comment and columnists get my right-leaning back up.
