Obloquy of obedientiary objicients II...

I seriosuly doubted the authenticity of this leaflet; I was convinced the UK Armed Forces couldn't have fallen so far. How wrong I was [DM link] "A guide to help high-ranking British officers spot right-wing extremists in their ranks has been leaked"... ...The document, which an MoD spokesperson confirmed to MailOnline". FFS.

More than half those 'indicators & warnings' are ridiculous (my comments in last week's post on this)

Obloquy of obedientiary objicients...

ZeroHedge with a shocker: (hat-tip Cascadian).  I am seriosuly doubting the authenticity as surely the UK Armed Forces haven't fallen so far; we know many of the higher ranks are already lost to Common Purpose and
lefty PC shite but it looks like they're starting to double down on infecting the ranks: "The British Army has allegedly distributed a cheat sheet of "indicators & warnings" if one suspects that they (or a friend) might be a member of the "Extreme Right Wing" (XRW)." IMHO, the selected points from the list that I have written below covers a good part of the country and especially Brexiteers; I have added my comments in brown font to a number of indicators which I feel are most worrying:

Describe themselves as
"Patriots"
. Really?

Add 'istan' to British place names.  That would be the well
accepted Londistan anyone? A name given orginally by the French security services due to the
UK's foolish acceptance and protection of known terrorists.

Describe multicultural towns as 'lost'. I would decribe some "multicultural" towns as fast becoming monoculture, and it ain’t ‘Anglo’ anything.

Look at opponents as 'Traitors'. Eh? Have you
been paying attention? Working for the interests of a foreign power at the
detriment to one’s own country is possibly the perfect definition of Treachery! This would be
most of our current MPs.

Use the term 'Islamofascism'.
Perfectly describes what it is describing.

Become increasingly angry at perceived injustices or threats to so called 'National Identity'. You should really bend over backwards or stretch
your neck out, they are implying, no?

Make generalisations about Muslims and Jews. I believe the word
“Jews” is added to disguise what they are really on about.

Claim that immigration is the root of injustices
against vulnerable people (e.g. old age pensioners, veterans).
Note the
wording. Immigration is CLEARLY part of the problem but “injustices against
vulnerable people” added to make their real message just a bit more hidden: they mean
“if you want any sort of immigration control you are XRW”.

Involve colleagues in closed
social media groups.
Heaven forbid!!

Refer to Political Correctness as
some left wing or communist plot.
It is, you stupid idiots! The roots of PC are traced back to exactly that! Or should I call you
‘useful idiots’.

Make inaccurate generalisations
about 'the Left' or Government.
Covers most of the country although mainly
accurate comments are used.

Use blatantly untruthful or incorrect references
to immigrants, Judaism or Islam.
Note the wording again: “blatantly untruthful”;
they do not mean this, they mean any references that highlight anything bad about Islam. Again, note Judaism added again to disguise their aim.

Talk of an impending racial conflict or 'Race
War'
. You dumb fuckers: it is YOU, the writers and publishers of this list of 'indicators & warnings' that is causing it and accelerating its
arrival!

OK, when can I expect the knock on the door? Maybe at 3 a.m.?

[Update 10 a.m.] Just heard that the mentions of Jew and Judaism could be referring to the Labour party's blatant, constant and growing anti-Semitism; I do not think so, if they did mean that the creators of 'indicators & warnings' will have to explain their left-wing/far right error. Fascism, Nazism etc are very obviously LEFT wing; if you need it explaining e-mail me or do some reading.

Omniloquent observer opines on our obscurantic omphaloskepsis...

Brendan O'Neill on the button again, in Spiked-online "In 2017, our response to terrorism became dangerously passive."... "2017 might prove to be the year we caved in to terrorism.". Writing about the official response and our own response.

"In 2017 we witnessed the rise of the terror amnesia industry – an informal but effective effort by the political class and opinion-forming set to shush serious discussion about terrorism; to tame strong emotions post-terror; to make people forget, in essence, the latest bloody destruction of their fellow citizens, or at least stop thinking about it. 'Don't look back…'"

'The terror amnesia industry', yes indeed. The immediate 'Beware of backlash', 'Beware of Islamophobia', the hiding of facts the under-reporting or omission of facts...and in fact the over-reporting and highlighting of anything to deflect attention.

"This is how deeply the West’s moral cowardice now runs: we are not even permitted to name the ideology that motors the murder of our fellow citizens...."A nation that fails to get angry about the slaughter of its children, and which won’t even allow frank discussion about the ideology used to justify that slaughter, is a nation that has lost its moral anchor.

So very true.

Oncoming Oblivion...

The winner of last month's Draw Mohammed competition (the exhibition of the drawings in Garland Texas was attacked yesterday by terrorists) is Bosch Fawstin*, who according to Weasel Zippers is an 'apostate', that bravest of 'Muslims': an ex Muslim. Also hat-tip Carl Marsalis [Twitter]. The exhibits, not shown in the UK press, IMHO weren't as good as the two of Danish ones I liked from 2005/2006, although I think some of these were on show too.

* He's at Blogspot too; love his 'Obama's position on Iran'.

Observing OIC Observatory...

I could add 'Orwellian' to that title. My comment in the post yesterday prompted this post. Yesterday ended the presentation to the 40th Council of Foreign Ministers the 6th OIC Observatory report on Islamophobia [report:pdf]. You can make up your own mind about Islamophobia (a) here or (b) here (pdf). I tend towards the (b) link and concur with the dozen writers (including Salman Rushdie and Ayaan Hirsi Ali) who a few years ago - after this incident - declared "After having overcome fascism, Nazism, and Stalinism, the world now faces a new global threat: Islamism...". Soeren Kern at Gateway The Gatestone Institute highlights a key point to the OIC report: "The common thread that binds the entire document together is the OIC's repeated insistence that the main culprit responsible for "the institutionalization of Islamophobia" in Western countries is freedom of speech." It is not an exaggeration to say that when you read the report (if you don't fancy that just read the two pages of conclusions and recommendations, pages 33 and 34; everything after that is annexes anyway) what Soeren says is true and highlights a massive contradiction, from the OIC: "Many distorted facts and ill conceived ideas about Islam... ...include the perception that Islam is linked to terror; that it is intolerant of other religious beliefs, that its values and practices are incompatible with modern democratic systems; that it favours repression of freedom of expression and undermining human rights and other misperceptions." Errm, can anyone point out how any of that [edited 4pm] is distorting facts or ill-conceiving something? And then their recommendations in the report: their solution to stop people thinking they want to repress freedom of expression is by repressing freedom of expression! FFS.  A suggestion OIC: take one step back and look at the causes of "Islamophobia".

Ows obambulation III...

Three posts for the price of one:

Obreptitious overload: [edited 10 pm] at Westminster there's a mind boggling list of All-Party Parliamentary Groups; the one on Islamophobia seems a bit superfluous to me: its purpose is

"To investigate the forms, manifestations and extent of prejudice and discrimination against Muslims in the UK today. To review the effectiveness of all legislation with a view to improving the rate of success in the prosecution of hate crimes. To review existing mechanisms for the recording of anti-Muslim hate crimes both through police forces across the country and through third party reporting sites with a view to improving data quality and comprehensiveness. To investigate and review the role of the media in fostering mutual respect and tolerance and guarding against misrepresentations of Islam and intolerance towards Muslims."

With this Invention Of Islamophobia do we hear mention of "Christianophobia", or "liberalophobia" or "socialistophobia"; should we? No: '"Islamophobia" is one of the words that we urgently need to delete from our vocabulary'. Have they noted the seemingly continuous stream of daily/weekly Islamist atrocities (at least two more this weekend) and [Advocatus_Diaboli_69's comment from here] "the fact that Britain is a safe haven for jihadists and their supporters, I wonder if by any chance the [Parliamentary] Group has been able to spot the connections?"

The press this week was full of a poll [pdf] that said 27% of 18 to 24 year-olds in the UK didn't trust Muslims. However, nobody head-lined that 16% said they didn't trust Hindus or Sikhs (or Jews 15%, Buddhists 13% and Christians 12%) so given the aforementioned and linked Islamist atrocities I'd say that 27% was a favourable result!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Obstrobogulous obsecrations seem to have worked on the US Congress after the vote this weekend: maybe these sinister 'Creepy Uncle Sam' horror movie Opt-Out-Of-Obamacare ads played a part: if you're really interested then there is a fairly good fact check HERE with all sides being economic with the truth. They're "happy to report that one of the most paranoid claims about the law — that all patients would be implanted with microchips — appears to have died off" although I guess we can assume the current administration would be happy to get any non Democrat 'chipped'.

That said the Affordable Care Act (if I don't like the Bedroom Tax misnomer I guess I shouldn't use 'Obamacare') is actually the result of decades of ideas from both sides of the political divide and based around 'Romney Care'!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Orinoco Ordure: things go from bad to worse in Venezuela. Shortages of everything (except cocaine and murder), no toilet paper (been going on for a few months!) but plenty of the Devil's excrement: "When it hit the jackpot ["1973 revenues were larger than all previous years combined"], Venezuela had a functioning democracy and the highest per-capita income on the continent. Now it has a state of near-civil war and a per-capita income lower than its 1960 level."
