Octopus on oak...

Isn't life full of surprises? Yesterday (Sunday) in the comments on the MENSA quiz post (below this one) Augustus commented that the "8T on an O" could be '8 toes on an orang utan' (or pongo to his mates) but then today I find this:
The Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus
a tree dwelling cephalopod...coincidence or what!...(whistling smiley)

That's fantastic! My hoaxes never get beyond dressing as a ghostly monk and standing in the park at midnight waiting for passers-by. :-( This is nearly as good as Juanzo except that had the required element of evil.

BTW the orangutan thing wasn't a joke as such, just daft. It popped into my head as an "answer" and that was that. I was never going to lose the image of the hairy orange freak. I'm applying for one of those oneaccount mortgages they keep advertising on TV. Apparently you get a free orangutan. Unless I've misunderstood it...

I know what you mean by 'popped into your head' Augustus...the 9P in SA I knew was South America or South Africa...something..until 9 Planets in ...came into my head...Sun's???, Star???, Solar??? Agghhhh!!!! Neede a break (the escape from an underwater-tied-up-in-a-chained-up-chest routine) to clear my head.

Funny you should mention that, got pissed with some matesafter a night of beer and music at Reading Uni and on the way home we saw a spooky, hooded monk in some park....

I had a look at the test, and gave up after about two seconds. Too hard, and too subjective.

BTW, I love the U2 song 'One' you have on your blog. Achtung Baby was a great album.

There was a time when you could stand in the park as a ghost monk and not risk a stabbing. Ho hum. This country is going to hell in a hand cart. Can't scare people witless for no good reason? Shocking state of affairs...

Well blow me - they realised it was too easy! PART 2 folks, this take some doing...

Lucy...nice one!..I haven't actually seen it yet as I've had a wee problem involving some Russians...no, not that 'rock' story...more having a load of stuff (computer, projector, passports etc) nicked while I was wining and dining some Baltic States and Russian visiters...will have a look when I can be online for a bit more time.

finny, by saying you like U2 doesn't excuse your poor attempt! Augustus and Bonnielass have given you at least enough to get a good start. (BTW...you don't like Russians do you?...)

No I don't. They're not to be trusted.

I'll give the test another try, but I really can't get my head round those things.

Hi Katey...you caught me on my night 'back'..hope to post 'around the blogs' tomorrow...

Interestingly enough a member of my family has a history of acid..."did for LSD what Henry Ford did for the motor car" was one quote!

You have to remove a couple of spaces in the address, I could not get it to post so I put in spaces (!)

DOH! thanks Lucy...I didn't even notice...so I have failed, eh?..:-)

Will now go to test...I wonder if they changed it after adverse pass rates from test number 1 despite their assurances that only 2 passed...PAH!!!????!!!!!
