The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) said that the squirrels were kitted out by foreign intelligence services - but they were captured two weeks ago by police officers.

Catching Kim Philby, Guy Burgess and Donald Maclean red handed, must have been a very hazardous mission for the little desert rats.
hehehe, thanks for the comment Harry. I've no doubt more exotic creatues have been used too; pigeons of course and dolphins (and no doubt other animals) have been used but not as 'spies'!
