Pretty in Pink, no, not Psychedelic Furs but Happy Birthday to international icon Barbara Millicent Roberts. Born 50 years ago today to proud parents George and Margaret Roberts...and better known to you and me as Barbie. OK, the versions on sale don't look like the image here (image credit and link to Blogofago) but I guess she may have aged. "Barbie has always represented that a woman has choices... ...I believe the choices Barbie represents helped the doll catch on initially, not just with daughters – who would one day make up the first major wave of women in management and professionals – but also with mothers." Ruth Handler (creator of the Barbie doll),

Whoah - scary Barbie alert. I saw a programme about this a while back and there are some strange people out there (even some who aren't Arsenal fans) who believe that these little dolls are 'real'. I think I prefer trainspotters, at least you know where you are with a man who appreciates engineering.
I agree, if you dare follow that Barbie link to Wikipedia you'll see "friends and family"...there's hundreds!
Off topic...just seen the Liverpool game and here there's fireworks going of already...God are RM going to get slagged in the papers tomorrow, 4-0 and could have been a lot more, unbelievable (God how I hate saying this about Liverflke!)
Liverpool and Chelsea through, Arsenal and United to join them? I bet nobody fancies playing Bayern Munich 12-1!
Bayern looked good but the best goal was Sporting's!
