But when you take into account the synonyms for Conservative(Tory, Tories) you find the word Labour mentioned 13 times against 11 for the synonyms. The reason for the extra mentions of Labour is because the piece also includes a wrap of election results elsewhere. That is where the two extra mentions of Labour come in.
That's a good bit of detective work Jaz! I just went and did the same thing to check and got 13 to 12 (so closer still!) Mind you I got a shock until I realised 'story' and victory' all came up as Tory too!
That said, I am not a fan of 'Tory/Tories' or the general use of it (including by Conservative MPs etc!) because it tends to be used in a 'nasty' sense and 'spat out' rather than Conservative.
...still made me laugh though! ;-)
